1. Part-time editors for English manuscripts in Biological/Medical Sciences
Responsibilities:
A. Evaluation of manuscripts: identify the merits and weaknesses of manuscripts; determine whether manuscripts are publishable in SCI journals; provide constructive comments/suggestions from both scientific and language perspective.
B. Preparation of manuscripts for publication: revise/edit English manuscripts to improve quality, and complete the job in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
A. PhD in Biological/Medical Sciences, or MD
B. At least 3 years working experience in clinical or basic research in an English-speaking country (e.g., United States, Canada, Australia, and UK); excellent verbal communication skills
C. Experience in writing English manuscripts, and the 1st author or corresponding author of 3 or more publications in SCI journals
D. Willingness to help authors, and a strong work ethic
2. Part-time senior editors for English manuscripts in Biological/Medical Sciences
Responsibilities:
A. Evaluation of manuscripts: identify the merits and weaknesses of manuscripts; determine whether manuscripts are publishable in SCI journals; provide constructive comments/suggestions from both scientific and language perspective.
B. Preparation of manuscripts for publication: revise/edit English manuscripts both syntactically and scientifically, to improve the quality of manuscripts, and complete job assignments in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
A. PhD in Biological/Medical Sciences, or MD
B. Five years or more working experience in clinical or basic research in an English-speaking country (United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom); currently holding or previously held a position equivalent to or above Assistant Professor.
C. Experience in writing/drafting English manuscripts; the first or corresponding author of 10 or more publications in SCI journals.
D. Qualification as a reviewer for SCI journals
E. Willingness to help authors and a strong work ethic
3. Full/Part-time Professional Translatorfor Chinese manuscripts in Biological/Medical Sciences——Surgery, Imaging, Meta-analysis are in urgent need
Responsibilities:
A. Compiling/Translating English manuscripts for publishing in international English journals from original Chinese manuscripts or theses prepared and provided by the author according to the requirements or conventions of SCI journals.
B. Completing job assignments in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
A. Major in Biological/Medical Sciences
B. Working and writing experience in basic and/or clinical research fields; 2-3 publications in SCI journals
C. Willingness to help authors and a strong work ethic
4. Senior Academic Advisor
Responsibilities:
A. Evaluate English/Chinese manuscripts, identify theirstrengths and weaknesses, make relevant comments fromscientific and linguistic perspectives,and suggest whether the manuscripts are fit for publication in SCI journals and what type of service we mayprovide;
B. Provide suggestions regarding how to improve the manuscripts froma scientific perspective;
C. Provide suggestions onexperimental design and offer objective evaluation ofscientific and practical merits of experimental design;and
D. Independentlyprovide high-qualitycounselingand revision suggestions for Chinese grant proposals from scientific and linguistic perspectives within therequired turnaround time.
Requirements:
A. Have a doctoral degree in biology and hold an associate professor or equivalentposition; be familiar with the requirements and writing of NationalNatural Science Foundation grant proposals. Recipients of such grants (such as a general program or a youth fund) will be preferred;
B. Be familiar with the criteria for publication inSCIjournals and have publishedmore thanthreepapersin SCI journals as first authoror corresponding author;
C. Have an excellent academic backgroundand outstandingcommunication skills, and have the ability to preside over academic conferences; and
D. Be highly responsible and passionate about work.
